Patches to sew on

Custom sew-on patches for uniforms, workwear and clubs

A sew-on patch has no glue on the back, just a clean finish ready for stitching. Once sewn, it stays on through daily wear and regular washing, which makes it the most durable backing we offer. The usual choice for workwear, uniforms, scout groups and club jackets.

Questions

Why choose sew-on instead of iron-on?

Sew-on is the most durable backing. Iron-on glue can loosen with hot washes or on synthetic fabrics. If clothes are washed often or at high temperatures, sewing is the safer choice.

Can a sew-on patch be attached by machine?

Yes. Any sewing machine with a straight or zigzag stitch can follow the border. Many workwear suppliers and local tailors attach patches this way in batches.

Which border is easiest to sew?

A merrowed border (the thick overlocked edge) is the easiest to follow by hand or machine. Laser-cut edges allow detailed shapes and are sewn just inside the edge.

Can I get iron-on and sew-on together?

Yes. An iron-on patch can also be sewn: many customers iron it on to hold it in place, then sew the edge for extra strength.
